Ideas are great, they come and go and constantly evolve in your head but they can never amount to nothing without action. Action is the major key when you plan on self improvement.
You could have all the books in the world on self improvement but never actually improve oneself. Why? Why is it that this happens? Why is it that there are countless books out there that promise to change your life and the way you view it but nothing ever comes of them?
It’s simple. People do not take action with what the knowledge they have just soaked up.
Action is what is going to get the ball rolling on your new adventure whatever it is.
People have this necessity to acquire new information and knowledge but never have the urgency to put this knowledge into action. To me, this matters the most when it is your character you plan on developing.
I recently came across this quote and I find it very fitting here.
“Get busy with life’s purpose, toss aside the empty hopes, get active in your own rescue – if you care about your self at all – and do it while you can.” Marcus Aurelius
From this quote I feel as if this is a good way of thinking. You are only going to change if you take action.
So what are you waiting for?
